In 1989 MSI Construction, Inc. began by doing commercial work in the downtown area of Yakima, primarily retail store remodeling projects.

Over the past 27 years we have completed a wide variety of projects. In our early years, we worked in retail/restaurants in Malls around Washington. We built many retail stores including: Just Sports, Regis Hair Salons, The GAP, Eddie Bauer, Hallmark Stores, Morgan Jewelers, Fred Meyer Jewelers, Zales, Orange Julius’, A&W Restaurant and Subways among many others. MSI has remodeled the Train Depots in Yakima and Renton for Central Washington Railroad. We have built office buildings and portable classrooms for Epic in Yakima, Sunnyside, Prosser, Bridgeport, Parker Heights and Ellisford. We built Golds Gym in Yakima and remodeled and built numerous additions at the Yakima Athletic Club. MSI has worked extensively with The Tower management on improvements that include remodeling the lobby, a full floor remodel for an accounting firm, a 10,000-square foot remodel for the Federal Bankruptcy Court, remodels for the FBI, ATF, U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Agency. We have built new Banner Banks as well as remodeled several branches and perform required maintenance and repairs as requested.
We have completed many projects for Bob Hall including a new Mazda Dealership Building, remodel/addition of his Honda Dealership, major remodel of the Chevrolet Dealership and later an image upgrade for the Chevrolet Dealership.
We have completed many projects at Central Washington University including remodel of the Wildcat shop in the Student Union Building and a major Theatre lighting upgrade in SURC Ballroom.
We built the Northwest Neuroscience Medical Center and Surgical Center and we have completed a remodel for the new offices of Family Vision of Yakima.

We built The Lofts in downtown Yakima and remodeled apartments for Corday Trick above, 5 North on Front street as well as completed the retail/restaurant space on the main level. We have remodeled the upper floors of 7 North Front street into living space for Corday and Sharon Trick as well as worked on the main level on the restaurant space. We have worked with Joe Mann on many of his buildings in varying capacities as he has requested. In 2016 MSI Construction, Inc completed the Maison Hotel, a “boutique hotel” in downtown Yakima.
During the winter of 1991-1992 MSI built a Spec House. KYVE, a public television station, filmed the construction and presented the building series “Bricks and Sticks”, thirteen one-half hour shows. It was a public service guide on “how to build a home”. The company has completed numerous custom homes around Yakima and is developing the premier gated community in Yakima at Highpoint.
MSI Construction, Inc. has been able to grow at a controlled rate through the past 27 years. We are selective on who we work for and strive to develop long term relationships with our customers.
